I wrote this some time ago, and never got around to posting it. As many of our communities begin to slowly open up after this unique time of 'shutdown' & quarantine, it seemed a timely thought to share as we return to a different kind of normal.
If we have a limited range of movements we employ to get us through our day, there will be large areas of our body & very importantly our brain, that are not being used. This results in Sensory Motor Amnesia.
All the old addages about getting outside, getting into nature, getting your hands dirty, eating seasonally, eating healthy, sleeping regularly, interacting with a variety of life & situations – are so right on. Why? All of this builds a healthy thriving microbiome.
How important it is to be reassured that even if you are having trouble sensing what is happening in your body, or experiencing what you think you should be experiencing, or it’s being suggested you should be experiencing , you are still KNOWING. Whatever it is you are knowing.

What is designed to boost efficiency in life management, translates as moving less. Consequently, modern mechanization is in fact robbing us of movement opportunities.
Acquiring unnecessary stuff takes time and energy. And then we have to store and maintain the new possession and plan how to keep it safe. Our possession now possesses us!
